CNC Machining Services in Utah

Cutting Edge CNC was founded in 2013 in Ogden, Utah by Blake Hales and Tyler Thomas. At the time Blake was working full-time doing night shifts at a machine shop and spenting the daytime building the foundation of Cutting Edge CNC. In February of 2015, Tyler Thomas resigned as manager for an exterior company where he worked for 17 years to join Blake in running Cutting Edge CNC full-time. Together, Blake and Tyler have devoted their time to expanding Cutting Edge CNC by adding machinery, team members, and a trustworthy reputation with their consumers.

Cutting Edge CNC specializes in high-quality, precise, made-to-print machining. Serving a vast array of industries such as automotive, aerospace, medical and electrical, we have experience with both simple and complex CNC designs. We offer rapid prototyping, small and precise machining, as well as high-volume production. Our high-tech precision machine and turning shop allows us to make any piece or part from start to finish.

2013

We started with our first vertical machining center. I was working graveyard shift for another machine shop and would try and run a few parts for a few hours after working all night.

2014

1 year later we ordered our second machine and I decided I had enough of trying to work at both shops and started doing Cutting Edge full time.

2015

A year after that we added our third machine.

2016

We moved into our own 10,000 square foot building and added 3 turning centers at the same time. 2 of them also have live tooling capability and all of them have sub spindles.
