Our story: How Cutting Edge CNC started
Cutting Edge CNC started in January of 2013 with their first vertical machining center. Founder Blake Hales was working the graveyard shift for another machine shop and would try and run a few parts for a few hours after working all night.
One year later, Cutting Edge CNC ordered their second machine and Blake Hales realized he had enough of trying to work at both shops and started Cutting Edge CNC full-time. A year after having the shop as a full time business their third vertical machine was ordered.
In March of 2016, Cutting Edge CNC moved into their own 10,000 square foot building and added three turning centers to the shop. Two of those also have live tooling capability and all have sub spindles. In 2020, Cutting Edge CNC added another turning center and another vertical machining center. In 2021, they added onto their building bringing the square footage to 15,000 square feet.
Today, Cutting Edge CNC is awaiting the arrival of their first horizontal machining center.
